Roll Safe is an image of actor Kayode Ewumi giving a knowing look and pointing to his temple. It is often captioned with jokes mocking poor decision making and failures in critical thinking.

Origin

The screenshot comes from the BBC Three YouTube channel's #HoodDocumentary series uploaded on June 1st, 2016. In the scene, the character R.S. (aka Roll Safe), played by actor Kayode Ewumi, made a coded oral sex quip. Within eight months, the video gained over 1.04 million views and 1,300 comments.

It's first known appearance as a meme was on November 15th, 2016 when Twitter user @FootyHumor posted a screenshot of it along with a joke about starting a fight with a girlfriend in order to play video games.

When you piss her off on purpose so she can say goodnight at 6pm and you can just play FIFA for the rest of the day in peace.
